These works are translated by a creative, young girl whose growth was interrupted. The gravity of her pain is buried very deep. This page is an effort to rescue her expressing as God allows, her thoughts as they unfold. Now as she peers through the lens of a woman, she endeavors to free herself. As she taps into those hidden places, a true poet is sure to emerge. I hope as you read, you too will unearth some things inside yourself and with her, continue to grow.

No Ordinary Holiday
Christmas Day is a sacred day,
Unlike an ordinary holiday
For those who believe in Jesus
We celebrate His birth
Because He came to sacrifice His life for us
This Special day is not about Christmas trees
Nor Santa or toys and gifts you would receive
For those who believe in Jesus
We celebrate His life
Because He came to pay the price for all our sins
Christmas Day is no ordinary holiday
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ He came
Christmas Day is one of our highest holy days
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ He came
So that all the world around us might be saved
Christmas Day is one of our highest holy days
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ He came
Christmas Day is no ordinary holiday
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ He came
To sacrifice His life for us
To pay a special price for us
So that all the world around us might be saved

We're Blood
This is a snippet I wrote on a greeting card for my cousin who is serving a prison term. My love and concern for him inspired a piece I am working on in his honor. Love ya, T.C.!
We have a bond
For we are blood
Surpassing the winds,
Rains and floods
We triumph through all
That has come our way
We live to tell our stories
Another victorious day
Know that I am here
Though we are apart
You are never far from my heart

The Cell
Here I can only think
about my path
My rage has no place to go
without consequence
Either I reign it in
Or it will be the end of me
Awful stench, cannot get air
Walls closing in, suffocating me
Poor nutrition clouding my thoughts
brightest of lights are dim here
Wrath comes to visit when freedom is lost
Haunting upon each breath of the day
Though it can be rewarding;
Evoke the new you, a new way?
Even while imprisoned there are choices to make
I cannot choose death
The choice of death makes this cell filthier than when I entered in
Still I must choose
If I choose growth, I'll leave this cell purer than when I
First entered in

My Confession
I do not wish to see you unclothed
To kiss you would disspell the mysteries you bear within your soul
(I'm not willing to sacrifice your secrets for my own pleasures)
To touch you would melt away my anguish and satisfy my groanings
But at what cost?
What would become of our friendsip when mystery is lost?
Yet my fascination and strong attraction bullies me
Wages war against my sanity and poise
Before my spirit greeted yours beyond the stratosphere
My thoughts were intact
Now your charms have laid waste to all I thought good of myself
Traits I held most dear are folly to me now
Excitement concerning you lingers
As it comforts my sensibilities
And strokes my intellectual seat of honor
My spirit sits patiently
Cautiously seeking a path toward fulfilling bliss
What manner of admiration is this?
Many years I have sown in tears I will not feel shame
My pain has earned for me the jubilation you bring
Only in fantasy can I have you all for myself
So to fantasy I'll cling
For all the multi-colored joys it brings!

Love-Bathing
He likes my touch, the sound of my voice
I like his presence, his sound conversation
We liked a lot about each other
Our friendship more potent than most
We ended our days together often
It gave us both relief
I massage his scalp as he moans in comfort
Flushing the strain of the day away
Gently I hold his face in my hands
Kissing his forehead, nose, lips, and chin
His body smiles as it tingles from his head to his toes
He looks up at me, takes my hand into his and kisses my palm
I kiss his lips again more firmly and we wrap our arms
Around each other squeezing tightly
Our lips lock and pause,
Then ever so slowly get better acquainted
Our hands caressing, exploring
Our eyes opening, closing
Our bodies, impassioned embracing
Our hearts, pulses racing
We pleasure hunt with our mouths and our tongues
Allowing ourselves to receive freely and enjoy
Not one moment is wasted,
Nor embraces lacking
Each touch recorded by our senses
Stored in our minds for safe-keeping
Our bodies too warm for our garments
Escape from each cloth
The temperature of the floor beneath us rises
As we lay intertwined and quite content
Without further pursuit we resigned to our positions
Clinging to each other as we slept
Basking in our love for each other fully (without going all the way)
Gives us the sweetest and safest satisfaction which cannot be feigned

You Blew It
His INSPIRED words are like silk, but his heart is like a dagger.
Should have seen it coming, that obnoxious so-and-so!
Taking all the accolades openly and giving back sparingly, discreetly.
Feeling empowered by my praise you approach me.
Lacking understanding you start to provoke me.
Now you've lost an opportunity to really know me.
Foolish of me to think you were different
The manner in which you speak irreverent
But believe this, you won't find me wailing
Your arrogance and hypocrisy prevailing.

Bon Appétit
Would it be indulgent of me to have another taste
Un-ladylike for me to pursue it in haste
Or should I let it be
Will you think differently of me
To learn of my appetite
How eager I am to take a bite
If I promise no one will get hurt is it wrong
Upon craving these things to start humming a song
The fulfillment of my wish has come
Some enticing delights are just too sweet
Only a skillful chef can compete
Any volunteers to deliver some treats
I am very famished, it is quite a fright
While having this cupcake I will bid you good night!

Where Is the Love
If I were suicidal, now would be a good time to check out
Ever feel such intense loneliness amongst those who claim to love you?
Annoying still are the repetitious statements of love;
Especially those with no corresponding actions EVER
Should I take it at face value,
Expect it to show up without warning?
Would it be wise of me to rest my weight on something so hollow?
If I were inconsiderate, I would expose the foolish
Put to rest the constant murmurings of feigned love so unrewarding
So empty, so non-existent so obviously NOT love.
When sowing love unto such unfeeling creatures
Am I not casting my pearls before swine?
Will true love ever be mine?
Is my standard of love too high for some to comprehend? To match?
Silent reflection does not comfort me
Or else how could my heart be so full with love to offer?
If I were human perhaps I could feel it
I'd be able to embrace it in all of its splendor
Take refuge in the warmth of it.
But I am only an idea of love; an idea of love too potent to be sustained.

What I Want
If I am not your woman
Don't overstep your bounds
If I let you in,
Recognize you have no entitlements where I am concerned
While we are getting to know each other
Be attentive, respectful, consistent
Honest, real, sincere, discreet
Funny, positive, romantic, and sweet
Generous, spontaneous, adventurous, kind
Have intelligence, charm and
I will make you all mine.
I promise you will have no regrets
Now I dare you to put me to the test.

What's Buggin' Me?
Good day and welcome to all readers be it friend or foe. How was your week? Great, I hope. Mine was a bit challenging as I have been sick for the last six or seven days and I am still recovering. One thing that has not failed is my mind. In fact my clarity of thought and precision of expression increased during this brief cooling off period.
As I was pinned to my sofa unable to prepare meals for my children, buy groceries, see a doctor, or even make it to the pharmacy one block over, I had a little time to think (between moans and groans, of course). There are a number of things going on in my life that bug me. My subconscious urged my conscious self to start addressing these things. One of those things are the relationships in my life. Though I have been blessed with some really great familial and external friendships there is a bit lacking even in those situations. But my primary concern at present were my more recent acquaintances. Lately I have encountered a number of people who have pushed my buttons often and for no good reason! The most frustrating thing of all is that these people have never even seen me in person. Yet, these individuals feel they have a right to mislabel, misjudge, and mistreat me! Where do they do that at?! On social networking sites, of course.
Unveiling of the Perp
In confessing that I am a twitter addict I must say I am on a fast-track to recovery thanks to the many morons I have encountered in the short time period that I have been using this medium. But at least I provide a good service as President of the Tweet-Abuse Hotline (just kidding, it does not exist, yet) but I am working on it. My initial intent for signing up was just to see how it worked, but after aquiring one or two followers that seemed interesting I began to feel like a part of a major movement that could change the world! But that honeymoon came to a screeching halt once it became obvious to me that my twitter stream was invaded by twidiots!

What Can I Say

To one who is bent on believing and thinking the worst
Who lacks the ability to assess my value and appreciate my worth
To he who tramples on my affections while finding fault
With genuine loving kindness and expression of thought
If I say I love you more than you know
Put it on a silver platter tied with a bow
It would still appear as dung to you
For expressions of love escape you
You ascribe negativity to things you cannot comprehend
Ignoring the good in front of you, stubbornly refuse to bend
A most miserable creature who darkens the light
Instead of embracing love, you choose to fight
Your opinion of me is low and quite unflattering
Strange since my thoughts of you are earth-shattering
Perhaps this is just a sign you are not the one
Heavy on the drama and no longer fun
Too judgmental and so hypocritically blinded
But if you had any sense you'd be otherwise minded
Not a thing I can say to the one who mislabeled and branded
A woman so honest and true who quite frankly is candid
No, I will no longer allow this folly to simmer
My feelings that were once very strong have grown dimmer
The ignorance you inhaled, my love affected
The end result; your password is rejected
The Promise of Love
(Dedicated to GLucciano who inspired me. Thank you.)
Isn't it enough that I extend my hand to you freely
That I am willing to give everything you ask of me?
Or are you that ill-at-heart that even a femme like me so worthy
who carries the virtues of angelic hosts cannot have your honor?
It is true you are not much to speak of
Yet you behave as if king among men
So easy to replace you in my affections
But in my generosity and grace I extend your days
You consider my frailty and assume weakness
Not observing my tendency towards wisdom
My affections are but folly to you
Your only interest are my parts
Even the heavens are against you
Preventing your lustful ambitions
Creating a way of escape for me...
To save me from myself
Storing up my passion for you
Yet longing for valor to show up
As he plants his love deep inside my inner-sphere
Your image fades quickly, the shackles no longer appear
Alas the universe and I are as one
The ecstasy I longed for has now begun

End of My Rope
What is God waiting for?
Suicide is at the door
I'm certain I cannot take much more
If God can't help, than no one can
Why should I turn to mortal man?
This suffering I cannot stand
Happiness is putty in my hand
Rock bottom is no place to live
Sucks all the air from what I give
Pretty hard to want to be alive
Wouldn't take that much for me to thrive
Will due season of Galatians 6:9 ever come?
Anybody understand where I'm coming from?
Is deliverance on its way?
Hard to endure another day
Death is an option, the quickest way out
I'm trying to consider my children
But even that is challenging
My heart is filled with doubt
I do not own a gun
and pills are not the way for me
perhaps a fall from very high
some other way that is pain-free
So tired, i really want to leave this planet
It has not been too kind to me
Very generous with the pain and suffering
Stingy with all that is good
or is it God, does he hate me?
What's the use of wanting to be
when it really hurts to be me?

My Favorite MJ Song
It is very hard for me to choose ONE song. I have faves from his days with the Jackson 5 like the very well-known 'Got to Be There' and the one in my holiday playlist on iTunes this second (please do NOT laugh) 'Give Love On Christmas Day' all the way to the present. But vocally and emotionally I think 'Lady In My Life' is my favorite of all time. I may change my mind in a few hours; we'll see! LOL But that song was one of the first where I felt like wow, this man is capable of more than what we're used to hearing from him. I loved his aggressive vocals on this and it makes me warm and fuzzy in a very special way. It is fun to sing and shows a side of him that few have ever seen. In all honesty this song helped fuel my fantasy that he was a lady lover and not some little sissy like my friends used to suggest. It made me so angry when they labeled him! So the songs that showcased his masculine side the best were among his best in my book! Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to share your favorite songs and videos as well! The Door of Temptation
He's a good man who's hurting
Not planning to stray
Takes care of his fam
Goes to work every day
A lover of women
There's no harm in that
He was well-raised by one
As a matter of fact
But these days it's been tough
Can't get any pleasure
At home he's invisible
Lost beyond measure
Had no plans to cheat
He prefers his help-meet
But she's so distracted
'Til he's not attracted
So what's he to do,
Should he suffer in silence?
Ignore his desires
Be driven to violence?
There is a solution
Just outside your door
Lots of loving and comfort
And pleasures galore!
Just a few yards away
Friendly neighbors to greet him
Who are willing and able
They know how to treat him
He's not looking so bad after all now, "Ms. Ism"
If you don't want to lose that good man, then go get him!!!
The door of temptation's wide open; she knows it
If you have any good sense at all you will close it!!!

My Love Is
My love is breath and it's air
It is here and it's there
It has many forms
It defies social norms
My love has a face
Puts my foes to disgrace
And this love has a name
Conquers and rules your game
It's stronger, lasts longer
It's tight and so right
Neat and complete
Delicious and sweet
No one can compete
It turns up the heat
It is smooth and it soothes ya
It's forceful, it moves ya
It grinds and it grooves ya
Its fire consumes ya
Comes with ease and will please
Doesn't lie doesn't tease
It's alive in its fashion,
Its fusion, its passion
Supercedes all your needs
Behooves and improves
Expands 'cuz it's grand
It is equipped to meet your demands
My sh-t is eternal
Ignites your inferno
It washes you clean
Arouses your dreams
Soft as well as rough
It's more than enough
My affection never stops
It crackles and pops!
'Tis faithful and true
It do what it do
Like ice it's a cool,
Skinny-dip in my pool
Since you act like a fool,
My love is so over you!

Wonderful Is Waiting
When life throws you curves
You do what you gotta do
Keeping your hand upon the plow
You lower your gaze and not your brow
Smile while you're torn apart
Protecting your fragile heart
Enduring this lonely, winding road
Holding onto your goals (Selah)
Wake up inside yourself
Something wonderful is waiting
After working so hard to get this far
Don't you forget that shooting star
There's a place here reserved for you
After everything that you've been through
Something wonderful is waiting out there for you.
Troubles that weigh you down
Circumstances that make you frown
Wanting to lend a helping hand
You dream of the days when you can
There is something inside of you
Finally making its way through
Something wonderful is waiting out there for you.
